What kind of assistance does the RET provide?

The RET focuses its attention and efforts on providing:
• Integration of refugees into local schools, where possible.
• Support for refugee self-help schools.
• Quality educational programmes.
• Special support to girls and youth with special needs.
• Certification of the learning from the Ministry of Education in the home country.
• School materials such as pens, notebooks, etc.
• Pedagogical material such as syllabi from the home country, textbooks, diverse literature, maps, tools for experimentations, etc.
• Training for teachers and headmasters.
• Vocational training.
• Support to the school community through income-generating activities, paying incentives to teachers, promoting local community participation and encouraging their empowerment towards the education of their children.
• Certification of completed courses.
• Innovative approaches and methods of teaching.
• Renovation or construction of school infrastructure such as classrooms, latrines, teachers’ rooms, resource centres, services centres, libraries, laboratories, dormitories, etc.
• Innovative methods and approaches, including use of modern technologies.
