Fostering Resilience: A Closer Look at RET’s Project in Kayseri and Aksaray, with Support From the UK Embassy

The first phase of the inclusive “Multi-sectoral Approach for Fostering Resilience among Non-Syrian Refugee and Vulnerable Host Communities” project has been successfully implemented by RET. The project, generously funded by the UK Embassy in Ankara, was carried out in Kayseri from April 2022 to March 2023. Building upon this achievement, the second phase of the project commenced in June 2023, extending its reach to encompass both Kayseri and Aksaray, with the aim of promoting sustainable social cohesion.
The project aims to reach out Syrian and non-Syrian refugees, as well as vulnerable members of the host communities, particularly those who share neighborhoods, workplaces, or classes with refugee groups. It also aims to support public and civil service providers directly involved in assisting refugees. Throughout the project’s lifespan, RET will conduct a wide range of activities, including awareness-raising sessions on social cohesion, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive health. Turkish language courses will also be offered, alongside focus group discussions tailored for youth and women.

Since the launch of the second phase, RET’s dedicated teams in Kayseri and Aksaray have been actively organizing on-field outreach activities. These initiatives aim to engage and inform Syrian and non-Syrian refugees, as well as vulnerable members of the host communities, residing in Kayseri and Aksaray. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the project, its activities, ask questions, and express their concerns.

RET remains committed to fostering resilience and promoting social cohesion among diverse communities, ultimately creating a more inclusive and harmonious society.
