🇱🇧 From Irrigation to Innovation in Lebanon

RET Germany and partners toured Akkar, in northern Lebanon, to see how our BMZ-funded project is improving food security and creating economic opportunities.

✨Highlights:

  • 8,000m (5 miles) of irrigation canals cleaned and a new generator powering water for 5,000+ people.
  • Vocational training for women and girls — skills in arts and crafts turned into income opportunities.
  • 27 training of trainers (TOT) lifeguards and swimming trainers graduated.
  • Meetings with local leaders on smart agriculture and sustainable business training.
