AKSARAY, TÜRKIYE – We’re excited to share highlights from the recent visit by representatives of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau for Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) to Aksaray—one of the provinces where PRM-funded program “Integrated Approach to Increase Resilience in Underserved Communities” is being implemented!
The visit began with productive discussions alongside representatives of our local public partners: Aksaray Municipality, Aksaray Public Education Center, Aksaray Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, and Aksaray Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Together, we assessed the current challenges and explored future collaborations to support refugees and vulnerable host communities.

Next, the PRM team visited the My Life Community Center, where they joined a Turkish language class and a recreational psycho-social workshop. They had the chance to meet participants from both refugee and host communities, and it was truly inspiring to witness the dedication and resilience of everyone involved.
The visit wrapped up with a focus group discussion, giving participants a chance to share their experiences and needs firsthand. The day concluded with a meaningful meeting with our RET staff in Ankara, where we discussed how these insights will help us better serve the community.
We’re deeply grateful for the ongoing support from PRM and their commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities. Together, we will continue making a lasting, positive impact.
