This month’s featured photo comes from our team in Peru, and the story is available in Spanish and English.
Esta campaña fue financiada por el Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the United States Department of State, en el marco del Proyecto “Building Bridges of Assistance, Protection and Integration for Venezuelan Refugees and Migrants in Peru, 2019-2021.”

In Brief
We’re on the ground in 14 countries. Here’s what we’ve been up to recently in just a few of them in the last month…
- In partnership with World Vision, we provided dignity kits to 834 vulnerable girls in Burundi at Rugombo’s 32 basic schools as part of our “Komezawige” project. Read more here.
- How are we promoting peace in Mali? In partnership with local NGO ALPHALOG, we’re working with local communities to teach conflict resolution and peacebuilding techniques to ensure that local disputes don’t become larger conflicts. Read more here.
- We also joined forced with Action Against Hunger to represent the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for the Defense of the Rights of Refugee, Migrants and Displaced Populations in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC WDN Coalition) at the Third Thematic Consultation of the Cartagena +40 process focused on forced displacement and disasters, which was held on June 19 and 20, 2024 in Bogota, Colombia.

Here’s a roundup of articles we posted last month…
- In Türkiye, we’re working with vulnerable refugee and host community members in Kayseri, Aksaray, Çorum, and Samsun to empower women through recreational psychosocial support workshops and creative endeavors, such as soap making, painting, cloth bag making, candle making, and artistic workshops. Read more about this inspirational initiative here.
- “I am respected in my community.” Those are the words from Mapenzi Muhindo, a demobilized youth living in eastern DRC. He spoke to RET Germany about his experience with one of our disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DRR) projects and how our work is helping provide hope and stability to a fragile region. Read his story here.
- In Lebanon, we’re helping women unlock new opportunities. We featured the stories of three women who showcase how we’re providing training, support, and opportunities for them and their communities to become more resilient, financially independent, and overcome challenges. Read more.
