AKKAR, LEBANON – With funding from BMZ through RET Germany, GATE Lebanon partnered with the National Education Scouts, Dawra Scout Group, to organize a series of awareness sessions for Scout members attending this summer’s camp in Dawra, Akkar.

The activities brought together 46 participants and addressed a range of topics aimed at raising awareness and promoting youth protection. Key of Life Association delivered interactive sessions on bullying, digital violence, cyberbullying, online blackmail, and digital safety, while Scout leaders conducted their own sessions on gender equality and protection.

The sessions helped promote values of respect, acceptance, and positive behavior among participants, while strengthening their communication skills and sense of responsibility. Together, these efforts are contributing to a safer, more supportive environment for young people in Akkar.

The project “Improving Food Security, Livelihoods, and the Inclusion of Women and Vulnerable Groups, and Promoting Gender Equality in North Lebanon,” funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ) and implemented by RET Germany in partnership with GATE Lebanon.
