In places like Mbera Refugee Camp, these contributions go beyond funding; they help keep safe learning spaces open, sustain protection services, and give young people a real alternative to vulnerability.

This month’s photo comes from our team in Lebanon. In Al‑Mhamrah, Akkar, 23 women are transforming creativity into confidence as they dive into fine arts, wool knitting, handicrafts, and mosaic work. In a safe, vibrant learning space, they’re not just building skills; they’re discovering new income paths, strengthening their well‑being, and weaving stronger bonds within their community. Their creativity is becoming a force for resilience and connection.

1️⃣  🇳🇪 Niger: Women and Girls at the Center of Change 

This month was marked by strong community mobilization across Niger. On International Women’s Day, we brought together over 1,200 people across refugee, displaced, and host communities to promote the rights of women and girls. 

• Through awareness sessions, community dialogues, and cultural activities, the initiative strengthened understanding of rights, protection mechanisms, and women’s role in building lasting peace. 
• Beyond celebration, these efforts fostered dialogue, ownership, and social cohesion – empowering women and girls to actively shape their futures.

2️⃣ 🇵🇦 Panama: Driving Regional Solutions for Risk and Human Mobility 

Through our participation in the SICA Regional Forum, we’re shaping the conversation on risk management, human mobility, and safe education across Central America. 

• By bringing field-based expertise into regional policy discussions, RET is helping strengthen more coordinated, inclusive, and anticipatory responses to growing climate and social risks. 
• From community resilience to safe learning environments, the focus remains clear: protect the most vulnerable while building systems that last.

3️⃣ 🇧🇮 Burundi: Breaking Barriers for Adolescent Mothers 

In Burundi, we’re supporting adolescent mothers to return to school, challenging stigma and rebuilding access to education. By addressing financial, social, and systemic barriers, the program offers a second chance – elping young mothers reshape their futures and reduce long-term vulnerability. 

• Each return to school is more than reintegration;it’s a step toward independence, dignity, and better outcomes for the next generation.

4️⃣ 🇪🇨 Ecuador: Inspiring Girls to Lead in STEM 

This month was marked by actions promoting equal opportunities in education. On International Women’s Day, the EstudiANDO program encouraged girls to explore STEM pathways and challenge gender stereotypes. 

• Through interactive spaces like cinema forums, children, adolescents, and families reflected on barriers limiting girls’ participation in science and technology fields.  

• By fostering confidence, curiosity, and equal access from an early age, the initiative helps reshape perceptions and open pathways for girls to pursue STEM careers.
